Southeast Kansas Home Sales Fell in April
The total number of active listings in Southeast Kansas at the end of April was 604 units, down from 717 at the same point in 2018. This represents a 7.2 months’ supply of homes available for sale. The median list price of homes on the market at the end of April was $70,500. During April, a total of 105 contracts were written up from 89 in April 2018. At the end of the month, there were 109 contracts pending, compared to 89 at the end of April 2018.
Total home sales in Southeast Kansas fell last month to 91 units, compared to 102 units in April 2018. Total sales volume was $6.6 million, down from a year earlier. The median sale price in April was $62,000, down from $64,500 a year earlier. Homes that sold in April were typically on the market for 90 days and sold for 95.7% of their list prices.
