Southeast Kansas Home Sales Fell in May
The total number of active listings in Southeast Kansas at the end of May was 598 units, down from 716 at the same point in 2018. This represents a 7.1 months’ supply of homes available for sale. The median list price of homes on the market at the end of May was $75,300. During May, a total of 79 contracts were written down from 100 in May 2018. At the end of the month, there were 108 contracts pending, compared to 102 at the end of May 2018.
Total home sales in Southeast Kansas fell last month to 96 units, compared to 102 units in May 2018. Total sales volume was $7.5 million, down from a year earlier. The median sale price in May was $60,750, up from $58,250 a year earlier. Homes that sold in May were typically on the market for 68 days and sold for 95.7% of their list prices.
